Our half beef share is ideal for families who cook regularly and want the widest variety of cuts from the animal. In addition to a larger quantity of steaks, roasts, and ground beef, you'll receive premium specialty cuts that are often unavailable in our quarter shares, such as brisket, larger roasts, and additional steak cuts. A half beef offers better cut variety, lower cost per pound, and the flexibility to enjoy everything from weeknight burgers to holiday roasts and Texas-style barbecue.
 
Average Packaged Weight: ~170-190 lbs (excluding organ meats)
Freezer Space Needed: ~8–10 cubic feet (about the size of a medium chest freezer)

Steaks (ribeye, strip steak, sirloin, filet, flank, flat iron, etc.): ~30-40 total
Roasts (chuck, shoulder, rump, etc.): ~20-30 lbs total
Brisket: ~5-8 lbs (half brisket)
Short ribs: ~3-5 lbs
Stew meat & cube steak: ~8-15 lbs

The weights shown on our website are based on actual packaged weights from recent harvests and are intended to give you a realistic expectation of what you'll receive. Final packaged weights and individual cut quantities may vary somewhat from animal to animal.
